GAME ON! The 21-Day Drawing Challenge

"What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise." - Oscar Wilde

A few days ago, I posted an opinion in a graphic design Facebook group and a heated debate between the original poster (OP), myself, and other members of the group, ensued. I chimed in for the first few rounds of comments to explain further but bowed out after responses became a little more personal and a lot less constructive. It was a storm of negativity that I didn't want to be a part of.

I was discouraged that we couldn't agree to disagree and that one opinion sparked such controversy. (Why couldn't we all just get along, even if we couldn't agree?!) After all the negativity fell away, I became humbled. Then inspired. And finally, motivated.

I thought of some books I have been meaning to read so I ordered them. I was reminded of the all the things I want to learn so I'm researching some continuing education. Then I thought of the things I enjoy, personally, and want to get really good at so I could enjoy them even more so I'm challenging myself to a 21-Day Drawing Challenge, created by Von Glitschka.

Starting today, my goals are to read the books I have ordered, visit Lynda.com for one hour per day, and #draw21days.

Over-zealous? We'll see. The next 21-days will tell all!
