The tranquility, awe, and joy that nature evokes has been a cornerstone of my life.
From my early days aboard my father's fishing boat on the open ocean, I was privileged to have a front-row seat to observe wildlife, move with the tides, and watch storms up close. On land, my adventures unfolded in the dense woodlands surrounding my grandparents' home, where my days were filled with river frolics, the taste of sun-warmed strawberries from the garden, and lazy afternoons swaying in a hammock cradled between two trees. Over time, my love for the natural world and its narratives has seamlessly infused itself into my illustrations, serving as a tribute to Mother Earth.
Through my landscape illustrations, I aspire to highlight the splendor of the wilderness, urging an appreciation and mindfulness of our natural surroundings. To create a compelling landscape illustration, I feel, relies on the power to evoke emotion and narrate a story through simplicity, inviting a moment of pause and reflection akin to the experience of immersing oneself in the great outdoors.
