Project Brief

Since we can’t travel like we used to, the goal with this project was to put a spotlight on the ‘home experience’ and provide a creative outlet to share these experiences with socially distant friends and family.

With that, we may also begin to take more notice of (& fully appreciate) everyday things we may have overlooked before, like enjoying more home-cooked meals, spending days in our PJs, playing games with live-in family members, or even finding the time to slow down.

To achieve the project goal, 5 retro-inspired postcards were illustrated to feature rooms we may be "visiting" more often now due to self-isolation. The 70s-styled graphics, visually takes us back to a simpler time, where being at home and a slower pace were more common.

Beyond any pandemic, these postcards are also great for the introvert or stay-cationers, allowing the postcards to live on beyond this point in time.

I hope these postcards add some fun to our days and help us to creatively connect in a time when our traditional way of connecting in-person is unavailable to us.

Until August 31, 2020, $1 from each set sold will be donated to Humane Canada to help provide immediate, much-needed funding to improve animal welfare in Canada and lead efforts to help pets & families stay together during COVID-19.⠀
